EMERGENCY PUBLIC MEETING THIS MONDAY (22nd NOVEMBER at 7.30PM)
18th November 2005
An urgent public meeting has just been arranged for this Monday (21st November) 7.30pm Spotland Methodist Hall, Rooley Moor Rd (opposite the Late Shop).
Hundreds of tonnes of asbestos factory rubble is to be driven through Rochdale's streets starting THIS TUESDAY (22nd November).
See the report on Rochdale Online: http://www.rochdaleonline.co.uk/News/spodden_news.asp?ID=1075
Nobody knows what this rubble contains- this work leaves many unanswered questions.
PLEASE pass this message on.
We are printing leaflets- if you can post some in your local area please email back. savespoddenvalley@hotmail.com
WE NEED YOUR HELP LEAFLETTING passing the word on, and getting people down to the meeting. Monday night's meeting is an opportunity to get the facts on the rubble and... ...the facts about the developers' misleading and inaccurate glossy brochure that has been posted (with the paid help of the Rochdale Observer) to 50,000 households.
Also find out the facts about the planning application and what has been going on behond the scenes for the past few months. You may be shocked. This is your chance to voice your opinions, ask questons and find out what we all can do. The wagons start rolling Tuesday- please tell as many people about MONDAY's MEETING.
Jason
